Status Update Meeting for House Concurrent Resolution 41 – Double Utility Pole Removal
Posted on Nov 30, 2023 in Announcements, Public NoticeThe STATE OF HAWAII PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION (“Commission”) will host a status update meeting relating to House Concurrent Resolution 41 (HCR41) – Double Utility Pole Removal on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 9AM to 11AM. HCR41 was adopted by the Hawaii State Legislature during the 2023 Legislative Session and requests the Commission to submit a status report no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session.
In a letter to Hawaiian Electric, the Commission instructed the utility to coordinate and facilitate a status update meeting with relevant stakeholders on their ongoing work and plans to remove double poles. Further, the Commission requested Hawaiian Electric to provide responses to specific questions relating to double poles.
The Commission will host the hybrid meeting in-person and through WebEx for online and telephonic participation for invited stakeholders. The meeting will be broadcasted on the Commission’s YouTube channel and instructions for members of the public who may want to submit comments on this topic are included below.
