What do these new DER programs mean for existing DER customers?
Posted on Jul 29, 2023 inExisting DER customers may choose to transition to the new Smart DER Tariff at any time once it is open. Transitioning is only required for customers on the Customer Grid Supply, Customer Grid Supply Plus, and Interim Smart Export tariffs. Customers currently in those programs will be required to transition to one of the Smart DER Tariff’s riders, the Export Rider or Non-Export Rider, seven years after when they initially enrolled in the tariff. The interim tariffs, which include the three tariffs listed above, Customer Self Supply, and the Standard Interconnection Agreement Tariff, will close for new enrollment in early 2024.
