Status Conference on Young Brothers’ Proposed Changes to Livestock Procedures – February 4, 2020

The Commission convened a status conference on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, from 1:00PM to 3:00 PM, at the Public Utilities Commission, 465 South King Street, #103, Hearing Room, in downtown Honolulu.

Background

On September 25, 2019, Young Brothers, LLC. filed an Application for Approval of a General Rate Increase and Certain Tariff Changes. The Commission is in the process of holding Public Meetings on each island to hear public comments about the proposed rate changes.

During the Public Meetings, concerns about Young Brothers’ letter to certain customers, titled, “Proposed Changes to Livestock Procedures” were presented.

On January 23, 2020, the Commission notified Young Brothers that it is planning to hold a Status Conference to gather more information about the public’s concerns. The aim of this Status Conference is to hear from Young Brothers on this issue, and to give interested stakeholders an opportunity to provide comments to and ask questions of Young Brothers’ regarding its “Proposed Changes to Livestock Procedures.”
