The PUC has asked the Hawaiian Electric Companies and Hawaiʻi Energy to take immediate steps to respond to the economic, reliability, and renewable energy impacts created by the natural disaster.  

The Hawaii Public Utilities Commission invites public comment on the HECO Companies’ Electrification of Transportation Roadmap. The Roadmap describes the HECO Companies’ strategy to support a transition of Hawaii’s ground transportation system from fossil-fuel dependence to one based on an abundance of renewable energy.
